Hello! Today was a very busy but fun day. The concentration camp from the dirty war was very very sad to learn about but I feel honored to have been able to share a part of the Argentinians’ history with them! The lake that we went to was absolutely gorgeous and the experience was altogether very wonderful. We danced and ate and took photos and I am very happy to have these experiences to look back on!! Fortunately, after school, we took a nap which was very much needed after getting home so late yesterday and then we went to Niki’s English class where I felt very knowledgeable:) Everybody was so hilarious and welcoming to me! At dinner with Niki’s mom, dad, and brother, we ate so much food (I think I am going to explode after this trip) and I had three different types of dulce de leche. I had such a nice day and even though I was very tired, enjoyed it immensely!

Si hay memoria, hay futuro. ☀️
Reflection: Although the content of our tour today was much more dark than that of yesterday, I still enjoyed learning more about the history of Argentina. It is often said that progress is built on the roots of struggle, and today it was fascinating to learn the struggles upon which Argentina was built.

After coming home from school, I went to play tennis with Arnon, my host. It was my first time playing tennis on clay courts and it was very fun interacting with other tennis players in Spanish. Visiting “la perla” also gave me an insight on the struggles that Argentinean people have went through in the past.
